Massage therapy is not only good before childbirth, but also afterwards. Post pregnancy massage focuses on:

  • It helps to restore the woman's body to its pre-pregnancy condition.
  • It restoration of the abdominal muscle wall and the uterus to its normal state.
  • It helps to realign the body weight to its original distribution, and tones the over-stretched areas of skin over the belly.
  • It relieves muscle tension and stress from everyday activities, especially new mothering duties.
  • It helps restore the physical body to the new mom,
  • helps to revive her emotional state .

The loving touch of hands can provide a time to relax and reflect for the new mother, and helps to get her through the postpartum blues. When the mother feels good about herself, it is easier to meet the needs of her newborn.

After Your Massage

Most people feel sleepy, relaxed, or even groggy. Don't fight it! If your body wants to sleep, and you have time for it- take a nap!

"Your body needs time to recover". =)

Massage milks the muscle tissue of naturally occurring toxins :

*important to drink plenty of water to flush out your system,

*you might experience flu-like symptoms of achy muscles,

*slightly headachy the following day.

*remember to stretch out before going to bed and when you wake up in the morning.

It is important to keep those muscles supple and fully mobile for optimal health.

Deep tissue work can leave you sore and sometimes swollen.Should you experience these symptoms:

*ice the area and try to take it easy until the soreness or swelling subsides. If you experience pain for more than a couple of days and it doesn't seem to be lessening, contact your physician.
